ANSA, an industry body representing UK Halal slaughterhouses, welcomed news that the proposed bill to ban religious slaughter in the Netherlands had been withdrawn.
A bill to ban ritual slaughter was withdrawn by the Dutch Senate days before a scheduled vote after Animal Rights Party leader Marianne Thieme withdrew the bill late Tuesday.
